General Description
Responsible for preparing, filing, and pursuing all claims accurately, and promptly, in accordance with insurer/investor guidelines. Performance must comply with the company’s policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
Essential Functions And Duties
The employee must be comfortable in either an on-site office setting, or a quiet, designated work from home space that is free from distractions and noise. The employee is regularly required to communicate (give/receive) information through multiple methods of communication with clear understanding from others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or move about the organization or remote office. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk (or otherwise move through the organization); sit; use hands to type, write, handle, or feel and reach. May occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; or lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Employees may be required to type and utilize a computer for long periods of time.
The employee may be required to frequently operate a standard variety of office equipment including computers, calculators, copy machines, computer printers and phones. The noise level, if working on-site, is usually moderate and typical of an office environment.

Essential Functions And Duties
- Monitor all daily, weekly, and monthly reports and queues to ensure timelines are met.
- Prepare claims and/or related documents and verify that all documentation has been gathered.
- Identify missing documentation and requests from clients and vendors.
- Perform daily, routine follow-up on a caseload.
- Timely and accurately notates the system of records, documenting all servicing, action taken, delays, follow-up, and phone conversations.
- Identify non-claimable items and complete research to validate.
- Reconcile system information and claim forms.
- Accurately calculate and file claims to recover escrow, corporate advances unpaid principal balance and lost interest as applicable, based on the loan type.
- Prepare and submit claim package as required to applicable entity.
- Prepare and submit requests for reimbursement to vendor, if applicable
- Ensure all claims are accurate and completed within insurer/investor guidelines, regulations, applicable laws and company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile and/or note and report discrepancies found in documentation and claims.
- Advise Team Lead and Supervisor of any issues including, but not limited to, claim denials/curtailments, re-conveyance, offsets, delays in getting properties in conveyance condition, missing documentation, and title problems.
- Ensure all claim documents are imaged within the company system of records in compliance with its guidelines.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with clients, insurer/investor, vendors, and other employees, and maintain those relationships over time.
- Willingness to learn new skills and expand job knowledge, through various learning programs, as assigned by leadership.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct and successfully completes annual regulatory training requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced PC skills: Proficient with Microsoft applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, volume-driven environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences.
