Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance to promote independence and dignity
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light medical tasks under supervision when necessary
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
- Support clients in engaging with community activities or hobbies to foster social interaction and mental stimulation
Experience
- Prior experience in home care or personal caregiving roles preferred, demonstrating reliability and compassion
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with medication management and health monitoring techniques
- Experience working with diverse populations including elderly, disabled individuals, or those recovering from illness or surgery
- Background in healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or post-acute care environments is beneficial
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and provide flexible support based on individual care plans
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare providers
