What You'll Do
As a Family Resource Advocate, you'll serve as a trusted partner for families by:
- Building positive, supportive relationships that encourage family engagement and success
- Helping families identify strengths, set goals, and access community resources
- Supporting children's healthy development by connecting families with services and opportunities
- Guiding families through Family Partnership Agreements to promote self-reliance and growth
- Promoting educational, parenting, prenatal, and social-emotional learning opportunities
- Coordinating screenings, referrals, and follow-up services to meet each child's individual needs
- Recruiting and enrolling eligible families into the Head Start program
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with program requirements
- Collaborating with community partners to strengthen support networks for families
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Development, or a related field preferred
- Experience in case management, family services, child development, or parent education preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with diverse families
- Computer proficiency, including data entry and documentation
- Self-motivated team player with sound judgment and a commitment to helping others succeed
