Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters,irrigation systems, and other specialized equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and implement corrective actions. Conduct routine inspections of farm equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns during field operations. Replace, fix, or adjust parts, such as bearings, belts, and gears, using hand tools and power tools. Operate diagnostic and testing equipment to assess the functionality of machinery and detect malfunctions. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including lubricating equipment, replacing fluids, and checking tire pressure. Calibrate farm equipment for planting, fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting to ensure optimal field performance. Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventories. Ensure safety standards are met and followed during all repair and maintenance activities. Work with farm operators to provide recommendations for equipment use and proper maintenance practices. Travel to different fields or locations as necessary to conduct on-site repairs and adjustments.
