High School Athletic Director - Glendale School District Glendale School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of High School Athletic Director for the 2026-27 school year. Job Summary: This position serves as the primary coordinator of student athletics for the school district. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing the districts sports activities. Requires considerable ability to be organized, organize others and communicate effectively.

Serves as District liaison between division, local and state athletic authorities.Schedule the use of all athletic facilities and fields for middle school athletic games and practices following school procedure.
Responds to personnel issues for the purpose of clarifying issues and implementing actions to address needs.Keep an updated inventory of all athletic equipment and uniforms. Keep supplies, equipment, and uniforms in satisfactory condition, and order all new and replacement supplies, equipment, and uniforms when necessary. Inspect all athletic areas for cleanliness and the proper storage of all athletic supplies, equipment, and uniforms.Provide each coach with equipment, team medical supplies, and uniforms prior to the season and insures that each coach returns all equipment, unused supplies, and uniforms using a checklist. Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries.Professionally represents the school and the district in interactions with parents, community, staff and students.Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required.Assists as back-up coach, if needed.Inspects facilities and athletic fields for health and safety concerns.Chaperones/supervises athletic events and campus, as neededSupervises, evaluates and directs the work of coaching staff and athletic personnel assigned to the middle school according to District policy.Requirements: Minimum five years of working in a leadership role as a coach or educator.
Knowledge of OSAA rules and regulations; student conduct code; Knowledge of district and school policies, procedures, and rules.Certification as determined by the District and OSAA. Ability to obtain a valid CPR/First Aid card, and drivers license. Salary Range: One time stipend of *$7,414 (*Based on the 2025-26 salary schedule. The 2026-27 salary schedule has not yet been negotiated.)
