Job Description

Responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all district facilities’ plumbing systems. This includes plumbing fixtures, water lines and sewer lines. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Essential Physical Requirements:

• Constant lifting five (5) to twenty (20) pounds
• Frequent lifting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds
• Frequent lifting over fifty (50) pounds
• Constant bending, squatting, standing, reaching, sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, stooping, repetitive motions

Responsibilities

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

• Repair and upkeep of all potable water supply and distribution pipes and piping; all fixtures and traps; all drainage and vent pipes; all water conditioning appliances connected to the potable water system; all building drains, including their respective joints and connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances.
• Unplug toilet, sink, floor drains, roof drains, lavatory and main sewer lines.
• Install, inspect and/or repair plumbing systems, fixtures and/or hardware for all district buildings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Ensure applicable plumbing codes and regulatory requirements are met.
• Winterize facilities (i.e. stadiums)
• Provide labor and material estimates related to plumbing for small remodel projects.
• Assist other trades, i.e. exterior operation and roofing with piping and repair issues.
