Job Description
Provides consultation or direct service in the areas of social, emotional and behavioral functioning to meet the individual needs of students in order to improve both academic achievement and social competence. Collaborates with school staff and administration to lead and support universal and targeted social emotional supports for all students. Develops and promotes good community relations among various district and community clientele.
Essential Physical Requirements

Refer students and families to mental health service providers or counselors when needed.
Provide leadership in the implementation of prevention strategies or programs at the school level.
Implement or support implementation of student behavior intervention plans.
Consult with staff and support the provision of accommodations for students.
Provide leadership in the implementation of and training in the school’s social emotional learning framework or program.
Certifications
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
