- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects across various district locations;
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with facilities staff, administrators, and vendors;
- Maintains a courteous, respectful demeanor in a school environment with staff, students, and the public.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, outlets, and other related systems schools and administrative buildings;
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards;
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate testing devices;
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors as needed;
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and inspections;
- Respond to emergency calls and perform preventative maintenance as scheduled;
- Assist in energy efficiency and lighting upgrade projects;
- Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the Supervisor.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday;
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (occasionally heavier with assistance);
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts at varying heights (including ceilings and rooftops);
- Capable of performing work in tight spaces, such as crawl spaces, attics, and electrical closets;
- Able to use hand and power tools with precision and manual dexterity;
- Visual and auditory ability to safely perform all duties, including reading schematics, identifying wire colors, and hearing alarms or signals;
- Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including hot, cold, dusty, or noisy areas;
- Occasional need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and respirators;
