What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Baker position at Dough Lady?
We're looking for kind, hardworking, efficient people to join our early morning baking team! This is a fast-paced role where we value speed, attention to detail, and taking pride in your work. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term—not just for a season.

Our bakery is a high-volume environment, but it's also a place where we genuinely enjoy coming to work. The morning baking team starts in the early hours of the morning, so we put a lot of thought into building a team of people who are kind, dependable, and easy to be around.
Our team includes people in all different stages of life, and we love that mix. We care a lot more about finding the right person than finding someone with a certain background. We also care deeply about creating a workplace where people enjoy showing up, feel supported, and look forward to their shifts.
LOCATIONS
Lehi (Primary Hiring Need)
-Training begins in mid-August
-Hours ramp up when we open in mid-September
Millcreek
-We are also hiring one Morning Baker for our Millcreek location.
SHIFTS
Tuesday–Sunday | 3:30–7:30 AM (occasionally until 8-8:30 AM on the weekends)
-Typically 2–3 shifts per week, with opportunities for additional shifts as needed.
-Shifts sometimes end earlier depending on the baking load.
-Start/end times can occasionally be adjusted if you have morning commitments.
ROLE DETAILS
-Bake and frost all cinnamon rolls for the bakery and catering orders (you'll often work independently or with one other person).
-Bulk baking or kitchen experience is preferred, but we're happy to train the right person.
-Must enjoy baking and be able to move quickly and efficiently.
-Occasional local catering drop-offs (paid time mileage).
-Weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) may occasionally begin around 4:00–5:00 AM.
-Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Early morning shifts have a really great rhythm. You'll spend your mornings baking and frosting cinnamon rolls, listening to music or podcasts, chatting with another baker, and setting the bakery up for the day. It's peaceful, productive, and very rewarding work.
