The Doubletree by Hilton Rochester features an open glass enclosed tropical atrium setting and we are excited to announce a new renovation in 2025! In addition to having a full-service restaurant on site, with 249 guestrooms, along with over 12,000 sq. ft of meeting space.
We are conveniently located off I-390 and north of the New York State Thruway, in addition to downtown Rochester and the Rochester International Airport.
The Sales Department solicits group business that enables the hotel to meet and/or exceed revenue goals. The business generated by this department contributes directly to the hotel's bottom line and is a vital component of hotel profitability.
Job Summary:
The individual should be well networked and successful in the corporate, incentive and group segment. The Executive Meetings Manager should have demonstrated success in leadership, achieving results, communication, strong attention to detail, account-planning and organizing, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Responsible for prospecting, booking and servicing your definite business of 10-35 guestrooms peak. Responsible for catering only events up to 50 persons in attendance.
The candidate must:
- Be able to devise, plan and execute key actions within the wider segment strategy on the corporate group segments
- Identify opportunities on key sub-segments
- Research and develop new source markets; creating and executing innovative plans and actions on assigned market segments
- Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and the achievement of sales and revenue goals
- Maintain good working relationships with other departments
- Have the capability to multi-task and handle multiple market segments at any given time.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
- Responsible for soliciting new group sales accounts, entertaining, and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in rooms, food, beverage, and room rental.
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
- Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.
- Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Continue to work with other departments to ensure success of the group.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
- Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related discipline required.
- At least two years of sales experience in the hospitality industry.
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and a hands-on sales professional.
- Effective communication skills are essential. Enthusiasm for outside sales calls is a must.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early mornings, late evenings, and holidays.
- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.

This position pays between $55,000 and $65,000 annually, dependent on experience.
