Responsibilities
- Safely operate Amazon branded cargo vans for delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently using mobile devices for directions and delivery updates
- Load and unload deliveries at customer locations or warehouse facilities while practicing safe lifting practices for heavy items
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly, professionally, and courteously
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs of all shipments, including weight handling records in compliance with workplace safety standards
- Support warehouse operations when not on delivery routes by assisting with inventory movement and manual handling tasks
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly preferred, especially with courier or commercial driving roles involving route driving
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations enhances efficiency in load & unload activities
- Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or moving carts is advantageous
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles or box trucks is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and DOT regulations during daily operations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and moving items safely throughout the workday
