Dothan Brook School is seeking an energetic, collaborative, student-centered, and data-driven Math Interventionist to support students in grades Kindergarten through 5. This position plays a critical role in helping students develop strong mathematical foundations and achieve academic success.
The Math Interventionist will work closely with classroom teachers, special educators, interventionists, the instructional coach, and the building principal to provide targeted and intensive mathematical support for students. The successful candidate will use assessment data to identify student needs, design and implement interventions, monitor student progress, and collaborate with staff to ensure positive outcomes for all learners.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A strong background in mathematics and mathematics instruction.
Deep understanding of the progression of mathematical concepts across the elementary grades.
Knowledge of mathematical learning disabilities and the impact they have on student achievement.
Experience implementing evidence-based mathematics instructional practices and interventions.
Strong skills in supporting struggling learners through targeted and intensive instruction.
Experience designing and delivering specialized instruction and intervention plans based on student data.
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff.
Experience supporting diverse learners through appropriate accommodations and modifications.
