PEOPLE is looking for an editor to join its Society and Culture team. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and editor, reporter and interviewer with sound news judgment and an enthusiastic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They will be expected to work under tight deadlines and assist in developing sources and supporting long-term reporting initiatives.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Vast knowledge of entertainment and non-entertainment viral news moments and how to turn those moments into original feature stories.
- Well-organized to execute timely content as well as plan ahead for bigger projects.
- Excellent interviewing/reporter skills.
- Ability to write clean copy in a timely fashion, especially for long-form stories.
- Five years experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Reporting experience with an understanding of managing rep relationships a must.
Rate: $35-38/hour
Schedule: M-F 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. EST
Location: Remote/NYC
Salary : $35 - $38
