Position Overview
The Director of Marketing is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for both developing strategy and executing day-to-day marketing activities in a hands-on manner, reflecting collaboration and agility. This role plays a critical role in driving brand growth, market expansion, and revenue generation through integrated marketing strategies, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing. The Marketing Director oversees internal and external marketing resources and is expected to bring a data-driven, customer-centric approach to marketing leadership, aligning brand, digital, and demand generation efforts with the company’s business objectives.
Note: This position is based onsite at our company headquarters in Bedford, TX. Regular in-person attendance is required. Candidates must reside in Texas or be willing to relocate before employment begins to meet onsite work requirements.155
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and manage the marketing department, including oversight of a network of contractors and agency partners.
- Build and scale a high-performing marketing function through leadership, mentorship, and resource planning.
- Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company growth goals and sales objectives, with a strong focus on digital channels.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on brand positioning, market trends, and customer insights.
- Oversee brand development, messaging, and positioning to ensure consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
- Drive demand generational strategies that support lead acquisition, conversion, and customer retention.
- Partner cross-functionally to align marketing campaigns with pipeline goals and revenue targets, and alignment across the customer journey.
- Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, paid media, social media, and marketing automation.
- Leverage marketing analytics and KPIs to measure campaign effectiveness and inform decision-making.
- Optimize marketing technology stack – including Salesforce Marketing Cloud – and ensure data integrity across platforms.
- Manage the marketing department budget, including planning, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources and maximize return on marketing investments.
- Represent marketing in executive and board-level discussions, providing insight into marketing performance, campaign ROI, and strategic marketing initiative.
- Perform responsibilities in a manner consistent with DOT Compliance Group’s purpose and core values.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Proven success in building and scaling marketing functions in a B2B or compliance-focused environment.
- Deep expertise in digital marketing, including hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, paid media, email marketing, and social media.
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including campaign management and marketing automation.
- Experience managing internal teams, contractors, and external vendors.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and executive presence.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field required.
- Experience: 10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including leadership and strategic planning.
- Internal applicants: 6 months successful demonstration of current position responsibilities, approval from current manager, and a relevant combination of education, continuing education, and experience.
