SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing Dorsey College’s benefits administration, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with the Senior Director of Human Resources to implement strategies that align with business goals, ensure a positive work environment, and support employee well-being.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages and maintains the effectiveness of all human resources programs, policies and procedures, training and development, wellness and benefits, and talent acquisition functions.
- Works closely with the Lindenwood Education System to carry out the day-to-day administration of our self-funded health insurance plan.
- Manage the benefits verification and eligibility process, enrollment changes, ensuring benefits processing aligns with plan documents, billing, and coordinating COBRA benefits.
- Collaborates with leaders on all human resources needs to promote a collaborative culture.
- Manages all aspects of talent acquisition, building a talent pipeline through supportive recruitment strategies and development opportunities.
- Manages the new hire orientations and open enrollment training.
- Supports the development of Dorsey College’s wellness program.
- Manages and oversees workers’ compensation claims and OSHA reporting.
- Manages all employee leaves and accommodation requests; Adheres to regulations, including timely notifications, tracking of leave entitlements, and maintaining confidential medical records
- Collaborate with business leaders to determine the most appropriate approach to employee relations issues while mitigating risks.
- Ability to provide counseling on routine disciplinary matters.
- Provide regular reporting and key performance indicators to the department director.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant human resources experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Prior benefits experience required
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred
- Prior Workday experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to work effectively at a computer for up to eight hours daily
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Regular attendance is necessary and essential function
