Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves implementing developmentally appropriate activities, managing classroom routines, and fostering positive social and emotional growth. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured learning activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and safety standards related to childcare practices.
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic infant care as needed for younger children.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities.
- Keep detailed records of children's activities, developmental milestones, and daily routines.
Experience
- Prior experience in early childhood education or childcare settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or nannying is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required.
