Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Director with experience in trauma informed care. This role is essential to the growth and development of Dorothy’s House. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting the organization’s mission of providing a safe place for the practice of life for those whose lives have been interrupted by human trafficking, exploitation and prostitution.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling field form an approved educational program
- Licensed as a LISW or LMHC certification by the State of Iowa
- 3 years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health or human services organization
- Ability to work cooperatively with at multi disciplinary team
- CCTP certification preferred
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage the logistics of a household with supporting staff and volunteers. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Facilitate weekly individual programming and group programming with all residential participants
- Facilitate individual programming with Front Porch participants and develop group engagement opportunities
- Identify and administer alternative curricula or other resources based on the specific needs of participants, especially in individual programming
- Support Care Coaches and other staff to integrate and reinforce programming concepts throughout their casual and formal interactions with participants
- Make recommendations for supporting participants through challenging times
- Oversee and make recommendations for participant engagement in external mental health services in partnership with the Director of Services
- Document relevant participant interactions, observations, and progress as appropriate
- Distribution of participant medications
- Conduct intake assessments; responsible for initial assessments, as well as follow up assessments for participants
- Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling sessions using our evidence-based curriculum
- Provide crisis support and coordinate appropriate referrals when needed
- Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient
- Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors on individualized treatment and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant state regulations
Schedule: Monday - Friday: on-site. 40 hours per week, during business hours
Starting Salary- $63,000/year
