Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a Machinist I, II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist I, II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary.
This position may be available on First Shift (6:00AM – 2:30PM) with a base pay range of $18.56/hr. - $27/hr. Mandatory overtime as needed.

What You Will Do
- Operate machine according to standard operating instructions
- Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
- Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive experience in operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
- Understanding of shop math, blueprint reading, and Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
- Professional communication skills
- SAP or Enterprise system knowledge
- Understanding of similar quality control concepts
- Computer proficiency and lean skills
- Documented manufacturing education and training
