Dordlofva is the family name of the manager's great grandmother who immigrated to Fremont in 1904 from Sweden. This family owned business has deep roots in the community and takes pride in being part of the community for over 122 years.
Position Summary:
We're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable barista to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, willing to learn, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso drinks
Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf and workstations
Operate the POS system and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
Follow health and safety regulations and caf procedures
Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
Support fellow team members during busy hours and be able to also work independently when required
Requirements:
2 years previous barista experience in a high-volume cafe
Experience opening and closing a cafe
Proficiency in preparing a wide range of coffee and espresso drinks
Manually dialing-in espresso
Excellent customer service skills, including greeting customers, answering questions and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Passionate about coffee and eager to learn
Current Washington State food worker card
A collaborative team participant
Prior experience working with a manual Mavam Espresso machine a plus
