What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flat Bed / Car Carrier Towing position at Doral Automotive Group?
A flatbed truck driver is primarily responsible for the transport and delivery of goods, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
- Following strict safety regulations, such as maintaining insurance coverage on the vehicle and keeping up with required maintenance checks
- Maintaining accurate records of cargo loads and deliveries, including time of departure and arrival, mileage, fuel consumption, and other pertinent information
- Following standard procedures when driving on interstates or other major highways
- Class A CDL
- 2 years of experience driving a flatbed truck (or comparable vehicle)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Ability to lift heavy objects and secure loads
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations Experience with tarping and strapping loads
- Experience using a winch
- Hazmat certification preferred
