What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Brake Set-Up/Operator position at Dor-Mae Industries Inc.?
Starting rate negotiable based on experience. Also willing to train the right candidate who possesses press brake experience and knowledge of set up.
Job Title – Press Brake Set-Up and Operator
- Set up and operate a hydraulic press brake
- Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance.
- Load, install and correctly set up the tools required with some assistance from supervisor/lead.
- Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
- Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.
- Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
- Follow written procedures and work instructions and complete production paperwork accurately.
- Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
- Understand and support company policies and procedures.
- Comply with all safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of CNC and non-CNC hydraulic press brake operations including basic set up.
- Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
- Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
- Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
Education
- High School, Vocational-Technical School, GED or equivalent experience
- Able to understand, read, and write in English.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push and or pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
- Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing as required.
