What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista/Food Service position at Doppio Coffee?
Doppio in downtown Hood River is looking to hire someone who enjoys working with people, coffee and great food! We're now hiring for winter, spring and summer and seeking year-round employees. Compensation based on experience. Barista experience is a plus, but not necessary.
Must be able to work varying shifts, or varying week and weekend days. Part to full time available, morning and afternoon/early evening shifts available.
A qualified candidate must have:
- Have a Food Handler certificate
- Strong passion for customer service and coffee
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a POS system (Square)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service
- Ability to handle food safely and follow health and safety regulations
- Flexible schedule
- Desire to work with and contribute to a diverse staff team
- Food service and barista experience is preferred but not required.
Team Member responsibilities include:
- Food and Drink Prep
- Providing excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Taking orders and process payments using the POS system (Square)
- Preparing and serving food and beverages in a timely manner
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work station
- Assisting with bussing tables, cleaning or organization tasks
- Following all food safety and handling procedures
- Upselling menu items and promoting specials to customers
