What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Assistant position at Doolen Strategy Partners?
The Finance Assistant is a support position in the Finance Department. This position will perform data entry, basic accounting and routine tasks in support of the Finance Manager.
Qualifications
• Ability to communicate clearly by phone, in person and by written means
• Strong computer skills including excel and database experience
• Interpersonal skills
• Model a strong, vital Christian faith to staff, congregation and community
Summary of Responsibilities:
Administrative
• Assist in data entry and report generation for membership & registration database
• Assist in compiling and producing Finance Office communications.
Finance
• Reconcile & record weekly contributions
• Reconcile & record cash deposits
• Reconcile & report memorials/honorariums
• Generate weekly revenue statements from contributions
• Enter invoices into Accounts Payable
• Reconcile monthly credit card expense reports
• Routine bank deposits (in person)
• Assist with bi-monthly payroll if needed
• Other financial data entry and filing as needed
Membership
• Assist in database management for membership as needed to perform finance tasks
Additional
• Conducts him/herself in a professional manner with church members, staff and the public
• This position includes some time critical tasks that will need to be performed seasonally during normal down times (i.e. end of year financial data entry)
• Exhibits a professional, team-oriented attitude.
• Identifies and anticipates what needs to be done and proactively takes steps to accomplish the tasks
• Demonstrates the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
