Responsibilities
- Operate fryers to produce perfectly cooked baked items, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Prepare bakery products on the bench, including mixing, shaping, decorating, and finishing pastries and bread
- Assist with cake decorating to create visually appealing desserts that delight customers
- Package baked goods efficiently while maintaining food safety standards and product freshness
- Support food production by following recipes accurately and maintaining cleanliness in all work areas
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food safety protocols and hygiene practices
- Contribute to the overall food preparation process in a fast-paced kitchen environment, supporting catering and restaurant service needs
Experience
- Previous experience in baking or pastry arts, with a strong understanding of baking techniques and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with cake decorating, food handling, and packaging processes in a commercial setting
- Hands-on experience with food safety standards and kitchen equipment operation, including fryers and baking benches
- Customer service experience is a plus, especially in food industry or restaurant environments
- Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in food preparation tasks required for bakery production
- Culinary experience that includes cooking, food production, or catering roles is highly valued
