What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events and Volunteer Program Coordinator position at DonorConnect?
DonorConnect is seeking a full-time Events and Volunteer Program Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Events and Volunteer Program Manager, the Events and Volunteer Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assisting in planning and implementing all aspects of DonorConnect's event programming, including but not limited to the Celebration of Life Gathering, Donate Life Month events, and assists with cross-functional and interdepartmental events between races, hospital services, and community outreach. Coordinates projects, schedules, and assists in the process of interviewing, recruiting, and recognizing the organization's volunteers in the volunteer program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.

Training/Education/Certification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Completes UServe Utah Volunteer Management Certification within one year of hiring
- Minimum of two years of experience planning and executing large and small group events preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience coordinating volunteers preferred
- Ability to coordinate a volunteer program
- Ability to interact with grieving donor families
- Compassionate in dealings with others and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to manage a budget
- Strong communication and public relations skills
- Excellent follow-through and problem-solving skills
- Excellent grammar, and composition skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Able to work well independently, prioritize duties, and work well under stress
- Able to organize and lead large group projects and events
- Excellent organizational skills
- Accurate, and attentive to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft windows/office functions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to move up to 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
