Our utility client is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented QA Test Lead specializing in Order Management Systems (OMS) and Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) within the utilities sector.
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY (Onsite interview required – local candidates only)

We are seeking a QA Test Lead to support a large-scale OMS (Outage Management System) upgrade within a utilities environment. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep domain expertise in ADMS/OMS systems.
MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- 5 years of hands-on experience with ADMS/OMS systems
- Strong experience with large, complex utility environments
- GE ADMS (v3.11 ) strongly preferred
- Proven experience:
- Test strategy & planning
- Test case creation & execution
- Defect management lifecycle
- Ability to work hands-on lead QA efforts
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own QA testing activities for OMS upgrade project
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases
- Create RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix)
- Coordinate with:
- Development teams
- Business analysts
- Product/business stakeholders
- Perform:
- Functional testing
- Regression testing
- Defect tracking & retesting
- Ensure:
- Test data readiness
- Full requirement coverage
- Clear documentation (screenshots, logs, etc.)
- Track risks, downtime, and testing progress dashboards
IDEAL BACKGROUND
- Utilities companies (electric/grid/outage systems)
- Experience with:
- OMS / ADMS
- Grid systems / outage management
- Strong communication stakeholder interaction
NOT A FIT
- Generic QA testers
- No utilities / OMS experience
- Only coordination (no hands-on testing)
