We are actively seeking a Events Specialist, who will be integral to our team’s success. 

Purpose of position: The Events Specialist will play a key role in supporting Donaghy Sales Promotion’s operations, focusing on special events, venues, and deliveries. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all special event equipment, ensuring they are always ready for use. The Events Specialist will work closely with both special events and retail clients, providing exceptional service and ensuring smooth operations. This position is seasonal, with responsibilities spanning from April through September with DSP and transitioning to Operations from October through March. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to delivering excellent service in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation). 

• Organize, deliver, physically set up, merchandise and coordinate special events.
• Hitch/Unhitch, tow and park a draught trailer.
• Work at events, using customer service skills and acting as an Event Specialist.
• Maintain draught and package product rotation in venues and at events.
• Clean and maintain all DSP equipment, including draught lines on equipment.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance and conduct.
• Perform work tasks safely, and contribute to an overall safe work environment, reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Follow all company rules and regulations.
• Report to work as scheduled.

 Skills, knowledge and abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job).

• Draught system knowledge with mechanical aptitude.
• Utilizes hand trucks and pallet jacks to safely move product.
• Ability to function on own, in remote locations and typically without any on-site assistance
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Competent math and reading skills.
• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Must be a self-starter and have a sincere interest in serving customers.
• Ability to be flexible with alternate work schedules.

Experience and Education Requirements: 

• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. 
• One (1) year of selling or merchandising experience in the beverage industry or grocery retail, preferred.
