Don's Appliances is seeking a Plumbing Design Sales Associate that will serve as a knowledgeable and customer-focused representative within a plumbing showroom environment. The primary role of this position is to assist clients, homeowners, contractors, designers, and builders in selecting plumbing fixtures and related products that meet their functional needs and aesthetic preferences. This position will spend half the time assisting customers in the showroom and the other half conducting face-to-face meetings with customers at their own locations. This role requires travel, up to two days a week, to meet with clients and to attend industry events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers, providing expert guidance on plumbing fixtures, faucets, sinks, tubs, showers, and accessories
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products based on style, budget, and technical requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, features, trends, and installation requirements
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate with vendors and warehouse teams for timely delivery
- Ensure showroom displays are clean, organized, and reflect current inventory and promotions
- Build lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals to drive repeat business
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- College Degree is Required.
- Previous retail or plumbing sales experience.
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems and products (residential and commercial).
- Familiarity with brands like Moen, Kohler, Delta and American Standard.
- Experience with using a point of sale system.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform basic math and operate point-of-sale systems
- .Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. Saturdays are required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Required: Valid Driver's License
Work Location/Hours
- Watersource by Don’s Appliances, Pittsburgh, PA
- Monday - Saturday 9am-5pm with an additional day off during the week
