Job Title: Delivery & Installation Associate, Erie, PA
Location: Erie, PA (with travel throughout the Don’s Appliances service area)Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: 8:00am- :30Pm M-F, with some weekend work Reports To: Delivery/Installation Manager
Pay Range: ($18.50/hr- $20.00/hr)
Position Summary
Don’s Appliances is seeking an entry- level, customer-focused Delivery & Installation Associate to join our team. In this role, you will lead appliance delivery and installation tasks, ensuring top-notch service and attention to detail. You will be responsible for the safe handling, installation, and removal of appliances while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Load delivery trucks each morning and verify inventory via scanning and count.
- Deliver and install appliances at customer locations, including water, electrical, and gas connections.
- Remove existing appliances when necessary.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately, including invoices and payments.
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles, both interior and exterior.
- Drive safely and responsibly at all times, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management, especially in case of delays or issues.
- Report any vehicle or equipment maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree in relevant field or relevant training preferred.
Experience:
- 2 plus years of experience in appliance installation preferred.
- Skilled in installing dishwashers, over-the-range microwaves, and similar appliances.
- Experience with carpentry, custom kitchen installations, or cabinetry is a plus.
- Proven experience with safe and correct water, electrical, and gas connections.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating manuals, and installation documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
Physical Requirements:
This position is very active and requires, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching all day. Team members must constantly lift/and/or move items that weigh more than 51-100 pounds. Lifting, overhead reaching, sitting, crawling and climbing stairs are physical requirements of this position.
Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- DOT Certification required or willingness to obtain.
