What are the responsibilities and job description for the BODY SHOP ESTIMATOR position at Don McGill Toyota?
Estimator Responsibilities:
- Experienced with CCC-One estimating system
- Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Identify parts that need replacement or repair, including body panels, bumpers, fenders, hoods, and trim.
- Determine if structural damage requires realignment or repair.
- Research and collect information on the cost of parts and labor.
- Prepare detailed estimates for insurance companies and customers, including labor hours, material costs, and any special requests.
- Explain the repair process and estimated costs to customers.
- Work with insurance adjusters to obtain approval for repairs and payment.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns throughout the repair process.
- Ensure that repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the collision center's technicians and parts department to ensure the timely completion of repairs.
- Handling accounts receivable for your accounts.
