I am working on behalf of a growing Home Health organisation who are looking to appoint an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their clinical team.

The Role:
- Provide clinical leadership and direction across the Home Health operation
- Oversee and support the clinical team, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical compliance
- Lead, develop and supervise clinicians, fostering a positive and supportive working environment
- Conduct field visits to supervise clinical staff and assess the quality of care being delivered
- Provide hands-on clinical support when required, including responding to urgent patient care needs
- Oversee OASIS assessments and ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Monitor quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement across the clinical operation
- Ensure timely admissions and effective management of incoming referrals
- Work closely with the Branch Director to ensure appropriate clinical staffing and capacity to meet referral demand
- Support the development of clinical processes as the agency continues to establish itself in the local market
- Maintain strong clinical standards while helping build the agency's reputation within the community
- Oversee an aspect of the Private Duty division alongside the wider Home Health responsibilities
- Work Monday to Friday during normal business hours, with occasional calls outside standard working hours
Required Competencies:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licence
- Proven leadership experience within a Medicare-certified Home Health agency
- Previous experience as a Clinical Manager, Director of Nursing or in a comparable senior clinical leadership position
- Strong OASIS knowledge and experience
- Solid understanding of Medicare Home Health requirements and clinical processes
- Experience supervising, supporting and developing field-based clinicians
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, quality assurance and admission processes
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of patient care
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across clinical and operational teams
- Outgoing, approachable personality with a positive leadership style
- Ability to motivate staff, encourage accountability and contribute to a strong company culture
- Comfortable working in the field and providing clinical support when required
- A forward-thinking approach, with the ability to help develop a growing agency
Benefits:
- Salary of $100,000 – $110,000, dependent on experience
- Full benefits package
