Job Summary
We are looking for a sushi chef to join us. This can be a very fast pace restaurant and very a family oriented restaurant in the community. Please have some experience working in a Japanese restaurant.
Duties
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and modern interpretations.
- Ensure the highest quality of ingredients is used, maintaining freshness and flavor.
- Utilize advanced knife skills for precise cutting and presentation of fish and vegetables.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends in sushi cuisine.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Assist in catering events as needed, providing sushi options for various occasions.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a fine dining restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong knife skills with an emphasis on precision and presentation.
- Knowledge of food service operations, including kitchen management and menu planning.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for Japanese cuisine and a willingness to continuously learn new techniques.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
