Job Title: Warehouse Manager – Food Processing (Cold Storage)
Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations within a temperature-controlled food processing environment, including cooler and freezer areas. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and distribution of meat, fresh, and frozen food products. The Manager maintains cold-chain integrity, leads warehouse teams, ensures inventory accuracy, and enforces food safety and workplace safety standards to meet service, quality, and cost objectives. The position requires flexibility to work any shift as needed based on company operations.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Cold Storage Operations
- Direct daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping in refrigerated and frozen environments
- Ensure proper handling of perishable and frozen foods to maintain quality and regulatory compliance
- Monitor temperature controls, logs, and cold-chain integrity
- Oversee operation and maintenance coordination for refrigeration, freezer, and material handling equipment
Leadership & Workforce Management
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse staff, leads, and supervisors
- Enforce productivity standards, food safety practices, and safe work procedures
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Inventory & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate inventory including lot control, expiration dates, and FIFO/FEFO rotation
- Manage WMS usage for inventory tracking, labor planning, and workflow efficiency
- Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy resolution
Food Safety, Compliance & Safety
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and quality standards (HACCP, USDA, company policies)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and cold-environment safety requirements, including PPE
- Maintain sanitation, housekeeping, and audit readiness
Coordination & Performance Management
- Partner with transportation, QA, customer service, and operations teams to meet delivery and service goals
- Track KPIs including order accuracy, productivity, shrink, labor utilization, and on-time shipments
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product integrity
Pay: Up to $150,000.00 per year
