Position Description:
Dominion Engineering, Inc. (Dominion), an Allied Power company is seeking an engineer with at least 5 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering. As a primary role, the candidate will be responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, supporting the development, qualification, and field implementation of chemical cleaning processes for nuclear plant operations. Additionally, the candidate will apply his / her skills in support of (1) other laboratory projects (e.g., planning for, setup, and execution of laboratory test programs) and (2) chemical consulting projects related to chemical cleaning of nuclear plant systems and components. Reports to: Manager – Chemical Field Services
Essential Functions:

- Provides on-site technical support for Dominion’s suite of chemical cleaning processes.
- Perform chemical engineering calculations
- Prepare technical reports
- Develop high quality communication exhibits (graphs, charts, presentations)
- Prepare and execute laboratory test procedures
- Manage customer relationships in advance of and during contract execution
Additional Functions:
Subject to company and project needs, the Chemical Engineer may be called on to perform other functions suited to his/her expertise, including but not limited to:
- Acting as an Individual Contributor on projects unrelated to his/her primary project (e.g., writing procedures, operating instructions, generating figures, etc.)
- Willing to travel up to 10-15% of the time (e.g., for field implementation of chemical cleaning processes, customer / industry meetings, etc.)
- Supporting lab testing and development of chemical cleaning processes

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work in an office and/or laboratory environment with occasional overtime and non-standard work hours (as required). The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to navigate industrial environments while wearing PPE, including climbing over and around obstacles, and up and down stairs or ladders. The employee must occasionally work at heights (up to approximately 30 feet above the floor) without experiencing vertigo. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be required with and around hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses:
- BS or MS in Chemical Engineering and a minimum 5 years of engineering experience

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
