The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. Job Summary
This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports related to PJM activity.
Specific Duties Include
- Gather, compile, and review weekly/monthly PJM activity to process weekly billings, record monthly GL acitivty, and distribute monthly records.
- Conduct complex assignments and analysis involving the day-to-day maintenance of the general ledger.
- Identify areas for increased process automation and other efficiencies and work to implement them.
- Identify inconsistencies and problems and work to resolve them.
- Perform appropriate accounting controls.
- Participate in month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings and financial reporting activities.
- Participate in and perform quarterly and year-end Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) financial reporting requirements and responsibilities.
- Routinely interact with both internal and external customers.
- Broad knowledge of U.S. General Accounting Principles (GAAP) practices and procedures
- Excellent SAP General Ledger skills
- Excellent computer skills including Excel
- Effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
