POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Campus Experience Ambassadors (CEAs) are dynamic students who blaze the trail for every visitor, shaping first impressions and creating meaningful connections that inspire future students to see themselves at Dominican University.
As part of the Campus Experience Team, CEAs are at the heart of campus engagement. They lead high-impact campus tours, support admission events, welcome guests at the Welcome Center & Information Desks (WID), manage visitor communications, and connect the campus community with the people, places, and resources that define the Dominican experience. Every interaction is an opportunity to inform, inspire, and make someone feel at home.
CEAs develop professional communication skills, confidence, and storytelling abilities while serving as a student voice of the University. Through authentic hospitality, energy, and pride in Dominican’s campus community, CEAs are at the forefront of creating a vibrant, welcoming, and positive experience for everyone!

JOB COMPONENTS//PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead engaging campus tours that provide prospective students and families with a welcoming, informative, and personalized experience. Represent Dominican University with enthusiasm and authenticity while showcasing campus life, academic opportunities, and the student experience.
- Support admission events, including open houses, admitted student days, receptions, student panels, and group visits, by delivering exceptional hospitality, professionalism, and relationship-centered customer service.
- Enhance the visitor experience by warmly greeting and assisting guests and the campus community at the Welcome Center and Information Desks (WID), providing clear campus navigation, and connecting visitors with campus departments, services, and resources to ensure a seamless and supportive experience.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment where current students, prospective students, families, and guests feel valued, respected, and excited to engage with Dominican University through genuine conversation and exceptional service.
- Serve as a primary point of contact across phone, LiveChat, and email communications, providing accurate, timely information and connecting individuals with the appropriate campus resources and support services.
- Participate in required training sessions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to strengthen skills, enhance performance, and support a consistently high-quality visitor experience.
REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY:
- Must be a currently enrolled Dominican University student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50
- Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Have a passion for Dominican University and a desire to share your student experience.
- Provide exceptional hospitality, customer service, and create welcoming experiences.
- Work effectively with diverse individuals and foster an inclusive environment.
- Demonstrate involvement on campus or within the community.
- Complete all required training for Campus Tours and Welcome Center & Information Desk (WID) locations.
- Must be available to attend and support the 6 large-scale Saturday Admission Events: Discover Dominican Open House (November & April) and Admitted Student Days (February, March & April).
