Overview
We are a growing, sophisticated SEC-registered investment advisory firm serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. We are seeking a Portfolio & Strategy Analyst to work closely with the firm’s principals on portfolio management, cash allocation, tax-aware investment implementation, and integrated tax and estate planning support.
This role is ideal for a trained professional with strong investment acumen who is looking to work at the intersection of portfolio management, tax strategy, and client advisory services within a high-touch wealth management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management & Investment Support
- Assist the principals with ongoing portfolio management, including asset allocation, rebalancing, and implementation across taxable and tax-advantaged accounts
- Prepare portfolio summaries, analytics, and performance reports for internal review and client meetings
- Support cash management and allocation decisions, including liquidity planning and deployment strategies
- Assist in the execution and monitoring of tax-loss harvesting strategies, wash sale considerations, and tax-efficient trading
- Coordinate portfolio activity across custodians, reporting platforms, and investment vehicles
Tax Planning & Accounting Support
- Provide tax-aware analysis of investment decisions, including capital gains planning, income timing, and entity-level considerations
- Assist with year-round tax planning for clients, including coordination with outside CPAs
- Support preparation of tax projections and scenario modeling in collaboration with the principals
Estate & Wealth Planning Coordination
Assist in the evaluation and implementation of estate planning strategies, including:
- Trust structures
- Gifting strategies
- Basis planning and wealth transfer considerations
- Review estate and trust documents for planning implications and coordination with investment strategy
- Work with outside estate attorneys to help ensure planning strategies align with portfolio construction and tax efficiency
Client & Advisory Team Support
- Participate in client meetings and preparation of meeting materials
- Help maintain a high standard of documentation, analysis, and client deliverables
- Support ongoing improvements to internal workflows, reporting, and planning processes
Qualifications & Experience:
- EA, or advanced accounting background strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Public accounting (tax focus preferred)
- Family office or wealth management
- RIA, multi-family office, or private client advisory environment
Strong understanding of:
- Individual and pass-through taxation
- Capital gains and investment taxation
- Trusts and estate planning concepts
- Portfolio reporting systems and custodial platforms
Skills & Attributes
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working directly with firm principals in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to synthesize investment, tax, and estate planning considerations into clear recommendations
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Professional judgment and discretion
Pay: $86,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
