A Fun Weekend Job. No Late Nights. Handcrafted Gelato.
Looking for a part-time job that fits around classes, another job, or a busy schedule? Dojo Gelato is hiring a weekend team member at our Findlay Market shop.
We're a locally owned, independent gelato and espresso shop that's been part of Cincinnati's food scene since 2009. We make our gelato from scratch, serve great coffee, and love being part of the energy and community at Findlay Market.
We're a small team that takes our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We care about great food, genuine hospitality, and creating a workplace where people enjoy showing up.
You might be saying to yourself, "But Dojo, I don't have restaurant experience." No worries! We're happy to teach you the skills if you bring the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Why You'll Like Working Here
- NO NIGHTS! All shifts are during morning and afternoon hours
- A consistent weekend schedule: 10–13 hours between Saturday and Sunday
- Student-friendly: A manageable part-time schedule that works around weekday classes
- Good tips: Typically $14–$18 per hour total (including base pay) during our slower season, with even higher pay during the busy season
- Free gelato or espresso during every shift
- 20% employee discount anytime
- No uniforms: Come to work dressed comfortably and appropriately for food service
- A fun environment: Great gelato and espresso drinks created by us from scratch, interesting customers, and the energy of Findlay Market
- More hours available starting in April as our busy season gets underway
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be part of a small team serving guests at one of Cincinnati's busiest and most recognizable markets. A typical shift includes:
- Scooping gelato and making sundaes, floats, and other treats
- Preparing espresso drinks and specialty coffees
- Helping guests discover new flavors and find their favorites
- Taking orders and accurately handling payments
- Keeping the shop clean, stocked, and looking great
- Working alongside teammates to keep things running smoothly, especially when we're busy
Some shifts are fast-paced, others are more relaxed. Either way, there's always something to do.
You'll Be a Great Fit If You...
- Are naturally friendly and enjoy talking with people
- Show up on time and follow through on commitments
- Take pride in doing things well, even the small details
- Can stay organized and focused when things get busy
- Work well with others and contribute to a positive atmosphere
- Are comfortable taking initiative without being asked
- Are open to feedback and willing to learn new skills
- Can reliably work both Saturdays and Sundays
Experience with coffee, food service, or retail is helpful, but not required. Reliability, a positive attitude, and attention to detail matter more to us than an impressive résumé.
Hours & Availability
