Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team for closing shift (Monday -Friday). As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash transactions, and manage sales effectively.
- Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring timely service during peak hours.
- Engage with customers to promote menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with customers.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with cash register operations is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of retail math for accurate transaction processing is beneficial.
- A passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques is highly valued.
