Responsibilities
Dohrn is seeking a full‑time HR Supervisor to help lead our Human Resources department at our corporate office in Rock Island, IL. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is confident managing sensitive employee relations matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee companywide investigations and ensure consistent, compliant handling of employee relations issues.
- Manage attendance and discipline in alignment with Dohrn policies.
- Support, mentor, and help lead a small HR team at the corporate office.
- Partner with leadership to maintain a positive, productive workplace culture.
- Ensure HR processes are organized, timely, and aligned with company standards.
What It Takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with UKG, Workforce Management (WFM) systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and attention to detail
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Driver License• 2 year degree and 2 years’ experience in Business, HR or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite• Excellent data entry and typing skills preferred• Human Resources experience preferred• Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and problem-solver• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and react to change productively• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems• Ability to work on tasks independently or in a team environment• Excellent attendance
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time • May be occasionally required to exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects • The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc; • Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor• Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers• Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others
