Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory work.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal health and behavior, recording vital signs and other relevant information.
- Provide comfort and care for animals in the clinic or hospital setting.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas.
- Handle a variety of animals with different temperaments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal physiology, care practices, and handling techniques.
- Familiarity with X-ray equipment and procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
