- Lead daily operations of the dog daycare, supervising staff and coordinating activities to ensure a lively and safe environment for all dogs
- Oversee dog handling and training to promote good behavior, socialization skills, and obedience during playtime
- Monitor dog interactions closely, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary to maintain safety for all pets and staff
- Assist with pet grooming, feeding, administering medication, and providing basic veterinary care as needed
- Conduct pet sitting duties for dogs requiring special attention or extended care periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including kennels, play areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dogs’ needs and behaviors
- Proven experience in dog handling, training, or pet care roles such as veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, kennel worker or pet sitter
- Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and restraint methods to ensure safety during interactions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting dogs or supplies) with proper safety precautions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Familiarity with pet grooming practices and basic veterinary procedures is highly desirable
- Prior experience in animal care environments or kennel operations preferred
- Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods while maintaining high energy levels
