Job Description
Dogtopia of South Lafayette is seeking an organized, friendly, and reliable dog lover to join our Front Desk team. Customer service experience is required. Our Front Desk Receptionists are known for outstanding customer service and their friendly and outgoing demeanors. If you like to help people and love dogs, this is the job for you! Opportunities for growth for those considering a career working with dogs. Option to bring personal dog to join playgroups when all criteria is met.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Dog lover! Must be able to interact in a positive and humane manner with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds
- Must have wonderful customer service skills
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays when needed
- Open availability
- Ability to stay calm and collected in stressful or intimidating circumstances
- Reliable Transportation
Responsibilities
Front Desk Receptionist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer phones and emails in a timely manner
- Show attention and care to all the dogs that enter the lobby
- Maintain consistent time and attendance standards as well as dress code at all times
- Check dogs in and out of daycare and all other offered services
- Work with others in a team and communicate effectively both orally and written
- Schedule appointments for all services offered
- Show compassion, care, and enthusiasm to all pet parents
- Assist Canine Coaches/Rovers when needed
- Keep a clean workspace and lobby at all times
