What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Bather/Finisher position at Dogs Etc.?
Come join the Dogs Etc. team! Dogs Etc. has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley since 1987. Our goal is to make all beloved dogs or cats look & feel wonderful. The team is made up of very talented, experienced, and professional groomers. We take pride in maintaining our excellent reputation of providing quality grooming to the SCV, SF, and AV for over 30 years.
We offer expert grooming and washing for all breeds of dogs, including cats! We are preferably looking for an experienced dog bather to be part of our team. We may be willing to train someone without experience if this person is motivated, driven, hard working, and a fast learner.
Requirements
- Must treat all animals with care and respect and work well with them.
- Experience bathing a dog from start to finish including trimming nails.
- Must be familiar with analyzing dog behaviors.
- Applicants should be able to perform in a fast-paced environment bathing 7-10 pets a day while maintaining our standards of excellence!
- Adaptable, helpful, caring and capable of working independently.
- Must be able to lift dogs and bend down.
Responsibilities
- Perform all bathing services from start to finish in a timely manner while maintaining quality.
- Converse with clients to identify what they want.
- Take part in cleaning duties at the end of the shift.
- Our bathing service includes a de-shed brush out (up to 10 minutes free), full bath with quality products, drying with hand dryers, ear cleaning, nail clipping and filing with a dremel, clipping of sanitary area, face, feet, and paw pads if necessary. We also offer de-shed treatments or specialty shampoos, external anal gland expression, and teeth brushing for an extra charge.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
