Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Professional Dog Bather to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming and bathing services that enhance our dogs’ well-being and appearance. You will work closely with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their grooming experience. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a holistic approach to pet care while developing your skills in animal handling, grooming, and customer service.
Duties
- Perform thorough baths, brush-outs, nail trims, ear cleaning, and coat grooming tailored to each dog’s needs
- Safely handle dogs during grooming procedures using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained
- Monitor dogs for signs of stress or discomfort during grooming sessions and adjust techniques accordingly
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming services, aftercare instructions, and any health concerns observed during grooming
Qualifications
- Prior experience in pet grooming or dog handling is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog bathing, proper deshedding, and dematting required
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Familiarity with pet grooming tools and techniques including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day
- Experience working with animals in settings such as grooming salons and knowledge of luxury bathing is a required skillset for this position.
