Full-time position responsible for assisting with project management and estimating for multiple construction projects from start to finish.
Duties To Include, But Not Limited To The Following
- Quantity tracking of materials and equipment. Requires writing, maintaining and tracking purchase orders and sub-contracts for up-to-date cost of projects
- Review of contracts and scope of work for each project
- Assist with managing financial aspects of each project
- Perform accurate, thorough and timely quantity takeoffs for construction documents / plans using Planswift or similar software to complete project proposal
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients and ensure clear and consistent communication
- Assist with maintaining updated and accurate schedules for each project
- Work well with assigned Project Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure the correct execution of work
- Develop and maintain a fair and professional relationship with subcontractors and vendors
- Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs and project changes for each project in conjunction with project management staff
- Put together and track all project submittals in a timely manner with associated projects
- Ensures safe work environment and quality standards are maintained
- Assist in preparing of estimate, proposals and change orders
- Field observations / quality control. Ensure formwork and layout matches what is to be installed by means of the project plans
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar; or Associates degree with relevant job experience.
- Construction experience is favored but not required. Concrete construction management experience is ideal
- Superior communication skills. Able to work effectively and develop strong working relationships with Superintendents, vendors and clients
- Computer literate, experienced with Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Project and construction programs such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore and financial software
