Responsibilities
- Provide attentive dog care including feeding, watering, supervising group play, and administering medication as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas
- Assist in welcoming and returning dogs to their owners using safe handling techniques
- Monitor dog behavior to identify signs of stress or illness, intervene where trained to do so, and report concerns promptly
- Interact with dogs indoors and outdoors to ensure pets are comfortable and engaged
- Support team lifting efforts when moving heavy supplies
Skills
- Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior management
- Confident and positive animal handling and relating skills with a focus on safety
- Customer service abilities to communicate effectively with pet owners and team
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions
