Position Overview:
This role combines hands-on dog training, customer service, and administrative tasks in our training facility. You'll be educating clients, conducting training sessions, and supporting business operations by answering phones, managing appointments, and attending local events. This is a part-time role (20-30 hrs per week).
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in the training, handling, and development of dogs enrolled in our facility-based training programs.
- Support daily facility operations, including dog check-ins, check-outs, and client communication related to facility services.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients visiting the facility and participating in training programs.
- Assist with administrative tasks, scheduling support, training records, and client follow-up communications.
- Represent Dog Training Elite Northeast Wisconsin at community events, demonstrations, and promotional activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment, including training equipment, kennels, and common areas.
- Ensure training equipment and facility resources are properly maintained, inventoried, and ready for daily use.
- Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of training equipment, including martingale collars, e-collars, prong collars, and head halters.
- Assist with facility upkeep, sanitation protocols, and general maintenance to support a professional training environment.
- Work collaboratively with the training team to provide consistent, high-quality care and training for dogs in our facility programs.
What We're Looking For:
- Someone who loves working with both dogs and people
- Strong customer service experience (retail, hospitality, kennel, veterinary, daycare, or other client-facing roles)
- Comfortable communicating with clients in person, over the phone, and through email/text
- Self-starter who is dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Physically capable of lifting 40 lbs., handling dogs of various sizes, and working on your feet throughout the day
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with multiple dogs and tasks
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and implement professional dog training techniques
- No dog training experience required — we train you!
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (Required)
- Availability: 9a-5p weekday shifts Saturday 9a-12p (Required)
- Willingness to sign a non-compete and confidentiality agreement
- Background check may be required
