Job Overview
Dog Days of West Hartford has been providing professional pet care services to West Hartford families for over 20 years. We're looking for a reliable, animal-loving person to join our team. We're hiring a part-time dog walker and pet sitter to care for dogs and cats in clients' homes. You'll have regular weekly dog walking clients (providing predictable income) plus rotating pet sitting assignments as they come in.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs (20-30 minutes) at clients' homes
- Feed pets and administer medications as needed
- Provide companionship and care for dogs and cats
- Clean up accidents and maintain pet areas
- Send photos and notes after each visit through our scheduling app
- Handle client keys responsibly
Requirements
- Must live very close to West Hartford
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Comfortable with technology (smartphone app, texting, photos)
- Available 5 days/week including every other weekend
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Trustworthy and professional
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
