Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Edinburg, TX, for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. The role involves collecting blood and other specimens from patients through venipuncture techniques while ensuring their comfort and safety. Additional responsibilities include processing laboratory orders, ensuring proper labeling and handling of specimens, adhering to established procedures, maintaining accurate records, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Venipuncture techniques and related Laboratory Skills
- Working knowledge of Medical Terminology and Laboratory Medicine
- Strong Customer Service skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician is required
- Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in phlebotomy or related fields is a plus
